Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, test, implement, and support scalable Java applications and services.
- Participate in requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and post-production support.
- Build data-access layers using JPA, Hibernate, and Spring Data JPA, and write medium to complex SQL queries.
- Develop microservices and contribute to modernization or migration from monolithic applications.
- Produce and consume messages through Apache Kafka topics.
- Create and execute unit and integration tests and support API testing and application releases.
- Monitor application performance and stability using observability tools and troubleshoot production incidents.
- Perform code reviews, document technical solutions, share technical knowledge, and collaborate with architecture, infrastructure, technology, and business teams.
- Use AI-assisted development tools to generate code scaffolding, automate development tasks, create tests, and assist with root cause analysis.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with Java 11+ and Spring Boot.
- Understanding of ORM concepts, JPA, Hibernate, and Spring Data JPA.
- Knowledge of relational database systems and experience writing medium to complex SQL queries.
- Experience with microservices architecture and related design principles; modernization or migration experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of Apache Kafka concepts and hands-on experience producing and consuming messages.
- Experience with Test-Driven Development, JUnit, and Rest Assured.
- Experience with application monitoring and observability tools such as Kibana, Splunk, or AppDynamics.
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills using tools such as jstack, jmap, JProfiler, or VisualVM.
- Working knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, cloud platforms, and DevOps tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
