Responsibilities
- Participate in establishing and implementing new or revised application systems and programs.
- Design, develop, analyze, test, debug, install, and support enterprise applications.
- Build Java backend services, RESTful APIs, microservices, event-driven architectures, and JMS/Kafka integrations.
- Develop responsive frontend applications using Angular or React and integrate them with REST APIs and authentication frameworks.
- Work with relational and NoSQL databases, cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, source control, build tools, code-quality tools, and containerized deployments.
- Identify application vulnerabilities and security issues and apply security best practices.
- Integrate generative AI, agentic AI, LLMs, AI SDKs, and AI services into enterprise applications.
- Consult with users, clients, and technology groups; resolve issues; recommend solutions; and advise or coach lower-level analysts.
- Operate with limited supervision, exercise independent judgment, assess risks, and support compliance with applicable policies and regulations.
Requirements
- 2-5 years of relevant experience in the financial services industry and intermediate applications development experience.
- 5-8 years of experience in full-stack application development.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java 17+, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Hibernate/JPA, and MyBatis.
- Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices, event-driven architectures, JMS, Kafka, object-oriented programming, design patterns, multithreading, collections, and performance optimization.
- Hands-on experience with Angular 16+ or React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, RxJS, and responsive UI development.
- Strong SQL skills with Oracle or PostgreSQL and experience with MongoDB or other NoSQL databases.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP; CI/CD pipelines; Git; Maven or Gradle; SonarQube; and containerized deployments.
- Hands-on experience with generative AI, agentic AI, LLM integrations, AI SDKs, or AI-powered application development.
- Understanding of microservices architecture, API gateways, distributed systems, security best practices, Docker, Kubernetes or OpenShift, and cloud-native development.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and decision-making skills, with the ability to work independently under pressure and manage deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree or university degree, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred qualifications include financial services experience, Kafka and event streaming exposure, Redis or caching frameworks, OpenShift, AI Copilot integrations, and modern enterprise application architecture.
