Base Salary

$127k - $149k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Lead architecture, design, development, and modernization of enterprise money movement, transaction processing, and customer servicing applications.
  • Build scalable APIs, microservices, and event-driven applications using Java, Spring Boot, and cloud-native technologies.
  • Drive adoption of Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker, containerization, cloud modernization, and resilient cloud-based architectures.
  • Provide hands-on technical leadership through solution design, coding, code reviews, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and production support.
  • Establish engineering standards, DevSecOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, software reliability practices, observability, monitoring, automation, and resiliency capabilities.
  • Lead API-first integrations with internal platforms and vendor systems and mentor engineers and technical leads.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Six to eight years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, Spring Batch, REST APIs, GraphQL, microservices, distributed systems, event-driven architecture, asynchronous processing, Kafka, and AMQ Messaging.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker, Rancher, container orchestration, cloud-native development, application modernization, cloud migration, enterprise architecture, and technical roadmap planning.
  • Experience with CI/CD, DevSecOps, Jenkins, Maven, GitHub, SonarQube, automated testing, and release automation.
  • Database experience with Oracle, SQL Server, Cassandra, Elasticsearch, Redis, and enterprise data platforms.
  • Experience with software reliability engineering, observability, monitoring, performance tuning, resiliency engineering, API integration, SOA, and enterprise system integration.
  • Technical leadership experience including solution design, code reviews, engineering standards, and team mentorship.
  • Banking, payments, financial services, money movement, transaction processing, and regulatory compliance experience.
  • Preferred experience with ACH, wire, real-time payments, account-to-account transfers, or digital money movement platforms, and with large-scale modernization in regulated financial-services environments.
