Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Scala-based backend services for identity governance, provisioning workflows, and access management.
- Implement role assignments, entitlement management, lifecycle automation, and other core IDAM platform capabilities.
- Build and maintain PostgreSQL persistence layers with a focus on correctness, performance, and resilience.
- Deploy and operate services on Kubernetes while contributing to reliability, observability, scalability, and on-call readiness.
- Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and architecture decisions.
- Break large initiatives into manageable microservices and subprojects.
- Collaborate with the IDAM squad and product and security stakeholders in an Agile/Scrum environment.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with Java and/or Scala.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, cloud platforms, SQL and NoSQL databases, and PostgreSQL.
- Knowledge of infrastructure as code, preferably with Terraform, and experience automating and scaling tests and deployments.
- Fluent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Nice-to-have experience with Google Cloud Platform, Datadog, the Play Framework, Kafka or similar event-driven architectures, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
- Nice-to-have hands-on experience with JWT, OAuth2, OpenID Connect, and role-based access control.
- Curiosity, continuous-learning orientation, and interest in microservice architecture.
