Responsibilities
- Build web applications for robot monitoring, data exploration, model training and evaluation, and internal tooling.
- Translate complex technical requirements into clear, responsive interfaces.
- Develop interactive visualizations for robot telemetry, video, experiment results, and system health.
- Shape frontend architecture for complex workflows that are easy to understand, test, and extend.
- Establish shared design systems, components, styles, and interaction patterns.
- Work with researchers, operators, and customers to understand workflows, test ideas, and incorporate feedback.
- Improve frontend development through conventions, reusable patterns, and tooling.
Requirements
- Experience shipping and maintaining production web applications with TypeScript, React, and modern frontend tooling.
- Strong judgment regarding shared component libraries, UI patterns, standardization, and flexibility.
- Strong frontend architecture fundamentals, including component boundaries and explicit application state.
- Experience managing asynchronous data and user interactions during background updates, slow requests, and failures.
- Clear communication and collaborative work across engineering, design, and product.
- Preferred experience with robotics, AI, scientific computing, real-time interfaces, streaming data, data-intensive interfaces, frontend modernization, developer tooling, component previews, end-to-end or browser tests, browser performance profiling, frontend observability, or automated testing.
