Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, troubleshoot, review, and debug secure, high-quality production software.
  • Drive team adoption of authorized AI-assisted engineering and automation practices with consistent validation for correctness, performance, and security.
  • Identify and automate remediation of recurring issues to improve application and system stability.
  • Lead evaluations of external vendors, startups, and internal teams by assessing architectures, technical credentials, and applicability to existing systems.

Requirements

  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with at least 3 years of applied experience.
  • Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages, including Java, Python, or scripting languages.
  • Experience leading approved AI-assisted software development practices and validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
  • Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input/output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
  • Proficiency across the Software Development Life Cycle and advanced understanding of application resiliency and security.
  • In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and its IT systems.
  • Practical cloud-native experience with AWS.
  • Preferred: knowledge of API gateways and security concepts.
