Responsibilities
- Promote AWS value and provide architectural and technical support to major retail and consumer goods customers.
- Build relationships with customer senior leaders and serve as a trusted technical advisor.
- Identify technical opportunities that support customer business objectives.
- Design customer solutions and advise on short- and long-term architectural trade-offs.
- Define long-term milestones for customers’ existing and new business initiatives.
- Deliver seminars, hands-on sessions, workshops, demonstrations, and prototypes.
- Create reusable reference designs and artifacts for other Solutions Architects.
- Own root-cause resolution of complex customer and internal problems.
- Provide customer feedback to AWS service development teams to support platform improvements.
- Collaborate with regional and global technical teams to capture, share, and maintain industry solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or equivalent, or experience in a professional or military field.
- Experience in IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries.
- Experience in a technology domain such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, or data and analytics.
- Experience designing, implementing, or consulting on applications and infrastructures.
- Experience communicating with technical and non-technical audiences, including executive stakeholders or clients.
- Preferred: knowledge of SAP Business Suite, S/4HANA, SAP Business Warehouse, SAP HANA, SAP Business Objects, and related architecture and infrastructure needs.
- Preferred: experience in infrastructure architecture, database architecture, networking, and working with end-user or developer communities.
