Responsibilities
- Estimate development effort to support roadmap planning and expectation management.
- Design and implement resilient, scalable, secure, and fault-tolerant backend architectures.
- Develop new features and maintain existing systems across the Network API, xSIM Management System, and Recording Platforms.
- Deliver incremental enhancements and keep existing solutions modern, efficient, and reliable.
- Write and maintain unit, integration, and benchmark tests for regression prevention and feature validation.
- Implement monitoring, observability, and performance metrics for platform contributions.
- Participate in code reviews and maintain high standards of code quality, readability, and maintainability.
- Own end-to-end feature quality and outcomes, including accurate technical documentation.
- Collaborate with team members and contribute to continuous improvement and technical discussions.
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional backend development experience, preferably with Go; strong Java experience with willingness to learn Go is also accepted.
- Strong understanding of concurrency models, asynchronous workflows, inter-process communication, and synchronization techniques.
- Experience designing, building, and consuming APIs with attention to performance and best practices.
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases, including data modeling, query optimization, and performance tuning.
- Experience writing unit tests, integration tests, and benchmarks.
- Familiarity with networking protocols and distributed communication patterns such as gRPC, WebSockets, and TCP/UDP.
- Experience building scalable microservices architectures and distributed systems.
- Knowledge of software engineering best practices and design patterns.
- Experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code.
- Familiarity with Git workflows, pull requests, code reviews, and agile development processes.
- Demonstrated ownership of technical outcomes and end-to-end feature delivery.
- Effective written and verbal English communication skills for a remote and largely asynchronous environment.
- Preferred qualifications include idiomatic Go development, Go profiling with pprof and trace, event-driven architectures using Kafka, RabbitMQ, or ActiveMQ, Kubernetes deployment and operations, cloud-native development on AWS, GCP, Azure, or Oracle Cloud, Prometheus and Grafana experience, and MSML or SIP knowledge.
