Base Salary

$108k - $170k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Advise Federal Civilian agencies and assigned accounts as the lead technical strategist throughout the sales lifecycle.
  • Architect solutions that connect agency modernization mandates, operational needs, and enterprise data landscapes to the Elastic Stack.
  • Build relationships with program managers, enterprise architects, CIOs, CISOs, CTOs, system integrators, VARs, and strategic partners.
  • Deliver technical demonstrations, tailored proofs of concept, and custom architectural prototypes for search, observability, and security use cases.
  • Support joint account plans, RFIs/RFPs, program captures, technical evaluations, and analyses of alternatives.
  • Advocate federal requirements such as compliance standards, air-gapped environments, and security controls to Elastic product management and engineering.
  • Represent Elastic at public sector events, federal user groups, and technology summits.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience as a Solutions Architect, Systems Engineer, or Technical Presales Consultant in enterprise software or federal high-tech.
  • Based in the Washington, D.C., Baltimore, Maryland, or Tysons Corner/Northern Virginia area and able to work hybrid with in-person collaboration at the Elastic Virginia office.
  • Experience supporting federal mission areas such as healthcare and HHS, fraud/waste/abuse and regulatory oversight, federal data and analytics, financial systems and the Federal Reserve, or international affairs and State Department programs.
  • Demonstrated success leading technical evaluations, analyses of alternatives, technical objection handling, and ROI discussions for platform modernization and software re-architecture.
  • Ability to influence technical decision-makers and communicate effectively with technical teams and executive audiences.
  • Experience or strong interest in open-source technologies, cloud-native architecture, and AI/ML trends.
  • Experience with supervised or unsupervised machine learning, data resilience and failover architectures, and systems design is a plus.
