Base Salary
$194k - $352k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and develop unified, introspectable, large-scale batch and streaming data pipelines for evaluation use cases.
- Build storage systems for high-volume and diverse evaluation and performance metrics.
- Create dashboards and reports that compare evaluation results and identify improvements and regressions in ML components and the overall system.
- Develop and maintain continuous testing and monitoring systems for data and pipeline integrity and resilience.
- Develop data-mining tools using applied ML techniques to support autonomy data discovery across perception, behavior, and mapping.
- Develop data annotation tools for first-party and third-party labeling workflows covering perception, mapping, and driving trajectory labels.
- Scale data annotation labels using state-of-the-art ML techniques.
- Collaborate with systems engineers to validate autonomous-driving systems before deployment.
- Provide technical leadership, set project and technical direction, establish engineering standards, and mentor junior engineers.
Requirements
- A bachelor's, master's, or Ph.D. degree plus four years of relevant work experience is required.
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field is required.
- Strong proficiency in Python or similar languages is required.
- Experience building scalable and reliable systems and data pipelines using large-scale data is required.
- Experience setting team or project product and technical vision, timelines, and prioritization is required.
- Experience serving as a technical lead and mentoring and supporting junior engineers is required.
- Ability and willingness to deep dive into implementation and drive technical standards and best practices is required.
- Strong proficiency in C++ or other high-performance low-level languages is preferred.
- Knowledge of GCP, GCS, BigQuery, PostgreSQL, data engineering tooling, batch and streaming processing, warehousing, analytics solutions, distributed data systems, system and framework design, or data workflow orchestration platforms is preferred.
