Base Salary
$145k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, responsive, accessible, and high-performance UI architectures using React and TypeScript.
- Build and maintain full-stack applications integrating React frontends, .NET backend services, and SQL/NoSQL data stores.
- Translate business and user requirements into technical solutions with product owners, designers, architects, and stakeholders.
- Define application architecture standards covering UI components, state management, API integration, data access, and application layering.
- Collaborate with Infrastructure and DevOps teams on CI/CD pipelines, automated builds, testing, deployments, and environment consistency.
- Design efficient schemas, queries, data models, and data access patterns for relational and NoSQL databases.
- Integrate secure and efficient frontend solutions with backend and platform services.
- Lead a small engineering team through technical direction, hands-on guidance, code reviews, and mentorship.
- Drive best practices for UI development, backend services, data access, security, compliance, performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Create technical documentation such as architecture diagrams, design guidelines, coding standards, and operational playbooks.
- Evaluate and adopt tools, frameworks, and patterns that improve developer productivity, application performance, observability, and operational excellence.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience focused on enterprise-scale web applications, including recent hands-on leadership in React frontend development.
- Deep expertise in React, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS, and modern frontend frameworks, patterns, and tooling.
- Experience with React.js server-side rendering concepts, including Next.js and Node.js, and SSR-based React applications integrated with backend services.
- Experience building user interfaces with Microsoft Power Pages.
- Strong experience designing and building .NET backend services, including API design, integration patterns, security, and performance optimization.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, including data modeling, queries, and integration patterns.
- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Azure for cloud-native application development, deployments, integrations, and production operations.
- Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices using tools such as GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps.
- Strong application architecture skills covering UI component design, API interaction patterns, state management, and application layering.
- Proven ability to lead and mentor engineering teams through technical guidance, design reviews, code reviews, and engineering-practice improvements.
- Experience delivering multiple concurrent projects while balancing hands-on development and leadership responsibilities.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills for working with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Financial services experience, particularly in asset management, institutional funds, or mutual funds, is preferred.
- Microsoft or cloud-related certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Developer Associate, or Azure Administrator Associate are preferred but not required.
