Base Salary
$230k - $262k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers building distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
- Design and implement large-scale, distributed, cloud-native systems with high reliability and performance requirements.
- Provide technical leadership across multiple teams and shape system architecture and long-term technology direction.
- Partner with architects, product leaders, and digital product managers on platform roadmaps, shared services, and customer experiences.
- Mentor engineers, drive professional development, and lead cross-functional engineering efforts and large-scale technical initiatives.
- Use Java, Scala, Python, Go, Node.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, databases, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field is required.
- At least 6 years of software engineering experience is required; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 3 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies is required.
- Preferred qualifications include a master's degree, 9+ years coding with multiple listed languages, and extensive experience with open-source frameworks, front-end frameworks, APIs, databases, cloud technologies, version control, testing, and infrastructure as code.
- Preferred experience includes mentoring senior engineers, troubleshooting cloud environments, observability, reliability practices, architectural design reviews, coding standards, technical strategy, AI-based coding tools, and enterprise-scale technical initiatives.
