Responsibilities
- Design and implement cloud platform capabilities using Kubernetes-native patterns and event-driven architectures.
- Build reusable abstractions and self-service workflows for internal platform users.
- Develop Kubernetes controllers and operators in Go to automate infrastructure and application lifecycle management.
- Mentor engineers and promote platform engineering practices across Data and ML Platform teams.
- Collaborate across teams on platform interfaces, abstractions, and shared infrastructure patterns.
- Support hiring new engineers and help establish code quality and collaboration standards.
Requirements
- Strong experience building cloud-native platforms on AWS, GCP, or Azure, with hands-on Kubernetes expertise.
- Proficiency in Go for backend services, command-line tools, or Kubernetes controllers and operators.
- Experience with GitOps and CI/CD systems and with building reliable automated delivery pipelines.
- Understanding of distributed systems and experience designing scalable, resilient architectures.
- Experience building self-service platforms or internal developer platforms.
- Strong focus on developer experience, usability, and reducing cognitive load through effective abstractions.
- Clear communication and cross-team collaboration skills.
- Preferred: experience with streaming and batch processes and large data storage systems.
