Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable APIs and microservices for enterprise integrations and business-critical solutions.
- Implement reliable and maintainable back-end functionality using Java and Spring Boot.
- Implement front-end functionality using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related technologies.
- Deliver end-to-end solutions across front-end and back-end development activities.
- Develop and execute unit, integration, and end-to-end tests using test-driven development practices.
- Participate in code reviews and continuous improvement initiatives focused on maintainability, scalability, and performance.
- Support cloud-native development and deployment using AWS services and DevOps tooling.
- Optimize applications and infrastructure for performance, security, and scalability.
- Collaborate with technical teams, project managers, and business stakeholders to support project delivery and knowledge sharing.
- Provide and receive cross-training across front-end and back-end technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of experience as an API developer, back-end developer, or in a similar software development role.
- Experience designing and developing APIs and microservices in enterprise environments.
- Experience with Java, Spring Boot, and strongly typed object-oriented programming concepts and patterns.
- Experience with AWS services including Lambda, API Gateway, GraphQL, EKS, ECS, AWS CLI, and AppSync.
- Experience with cloud DevOps tools and processes including CodePipeline, CodeBuild, and shell scripting.
- Preferred experience with Angular, Node.js, and TypeScript.
- Preferred experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Cloud platform certification or qualification in AWS and/or GCP is preferred.
- Preferred experience developing tooling or automation that improves developer efficiency and workflows.
