Responsibilities
- Lead discovery conversations with customer engineers, identify engineering bottlenecks, and define success metrics.
- Design and build Cursor-powered workflows for refactoring, migrations, pull request review, incident remediation, and specification-to-implementation processes.
- Ship initial solutions quickly and harden them into reliable production systems through rollout plans, monitoring, and usage-based iteration.
- Own production quality, including tracing, evaluations, metrics, model-behavior debugging, latency and cost tradeoffs, and failure-mode management.
- Work directly with Staff+, platform, and engineering leaders while communicating technical tradeoffs and results clearly.
- Convert customer solutions into reusable patterns and improvements for the core Cursor product.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of software development and coding experience with Python and JavaScript/TypeScript.
- At least 2 years of experience in customer-facing roles involving discovery conversations and accountability for customer outcomes.
- Experience building and owning AI-native workflows in production and debugging real-world model failures.
- Ability to turn ambiguous problems into clear scopes and shipped systems.
- Ability to work end-to-end across frontend, backend, infrastructure, and prompt iteration.
- Experience with production reliability, including metrics, alerts, safe rollouts, and incident response.
