Responsibilities
- Design, develop, code, and troubleshoot software components while considering upstream and downstream system impacts.
- Write secure, high-quality code using Python or Java with limited guidance.
- Develop, debug, and maintain applications in a large corporate environment.
- Use enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools for coding, refactoring, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation, while validating outputs.
- Apply software development lifecycle tools, automation capabilities, and technical troubleshooting to solve problems.
- Gather and analyze large, diverse datasets to identify problems and support secure, stable application development.
- Learn and apply processes, methodologies, and skills for developing secure and stable code and systems.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Experience with modern programming languages and database querying languages.
- Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment.
- Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and critically evaluating their outputs.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Experience across the full Software Development Life Cycle.
- Preferred knowledge of High Performance Python, including Polars and PyArrow.
- Preferred experience with Redis, Apache Kafka, TimescaleDB, Hypertables, columnar compression, and the AWS ecosystem.
