Responsibilities
- Lead technical processes and implementation with attention to reliability, data integrity, maintainability, reuse, extensibility, usability, and scalability.
- Collaborate with infrastructure partners to identify and deploy optimal hosting environments.
- Ensure applications meet performance, privacy, and security requirements and tune performance to reduce issues.
- Verify test plans and implement unit test scenarios to support compliance, code quality, and reliability.
- Research and evaluate technologies, contribute to solution design and implementation, and develop cost-conscious solutions.
- Partner with multifunctional teams on product strategy and project work while supporting business and technical presentations.
- Deploy scalable, resilient applications in Kubernetes and Docker environments that integrate with legacy systems and microservice architectures.
- Estimate module and project costs, monitor controls, mitigate risks, and follow corporate technology standards.
- Debug and fix technical issues and optimize software resource utilization.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of related experience.
- Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
- Hands-on software development experience with Design Patterns, Java, TypeScript, Java EE, Spring Boot, Angular 13+, JMS, REST API, PL/SQL, and Python.
- Strong Angular experience and experience with microservices, layered SOA/MVC architecture, and event-driven architecture.
- Experience deploying scalable solutions with Kubernetes and Docker in on-premises and cloud environments, preferably AWS.
- Experience with Windows and Linux application environments and legacy-system integration.
- Experience with CI/CD tools including Git, Bitbucket, Maven, Jenkins, and Jira.
- Experience with Visual Studio, IntelliJ, or Eclipse.
- Experience with middleware and application servers such as IBM MQ, Solace, Tomcat, Liberty Server, WebSphere, WebLogic, or JBoss.
- Familiarity with relational databases including DB2 or Oracle.
- Experience with Apache Kafka or Confluent Kafka, Kafka APIs, Kafka Connect, KStreams, and KSQL.
- Proficiency across the software development life cycle, including planning, analysis, design, development, and testing.
- Experience with software testing using JUnit, Mockito, Jasmine, and Karma.
- Ability to capture and analyze requirements, contribute to peer designs, and debug and optimize applications.
