Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive test plans for Layer 0 DWDM and Layer 1 OTN and Ethernet features across long-haul, DCI, and metro optical systems.
- Execute protocol-based testing for FCAPS, NBI automation, system security, and optical networking features.
- Translate system requirements into detailed test plans and participate throughout the system development lifecycle.
- Evaluate and qualify operating systems aligned with microservices and containerized architectures.
- Design and maintain automated test scenarios and frameworks using Python or similar programming tools.
- Drive continuous testing, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and prioritize scenarios based on customer needs.
- Own product qualification deliverables and support reliable, high-quality feature releases.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in ECE, Computer Science, or EEE with strong academic performance.
- At least 3 years of experience testing embedded optical network element systems, including OTN, Ethernet, GMPLS, DWDM, NBI interfaces, and system security.
- Proficiency in test planning, test execution, defect tracking, and standard configuration and test management tools.
- Strong Python or similar-language programming skills for developing and maintaining test automation frameworks.
- Hands-on embedded-system experience with CLI, NETCONF, RESTCONF, and gRPC interfaces.
- Understanding of system control plane concepts and L2/L3 networking products is preferred.
- Familiarity with microservices, container-based application testing, JIRA, Confluence, and Git is preferred.
