Responsibilities
- Own backend product development and technical decisions within a distributed, self-organized, cross-functional team.
- Design new products and continuously improve existing products, including architecture, performance, reliability, and testability.
- Lead technical decisions across teams and improve technical excellence through collaboration and lateral leadership.
- Develop products that optimize coordination between Flix and Mobility Partners while reducing manual processes.
- Work in an Agile environment with a strong focus on users, product outcomes, and data-driven decision-making.
- Explore and implement cutting-edge technologies, including AI-driven solutions.
- Share knowledge, mentor colleagues, and provide constructive feedback.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience as a Java and/or Kotlin software engineer.
- Experience with distributed systems, Spring or Spring Boot, Kafka, MySQL or Postgres, Redis, MongoDB, and S3.
- Willingness to work with Java for existing products and Kotlin for new products.
- Experience making architectural decisions and writing clean, performant, well-tested code.
- Strong autonomy, ownership, communication skills, product mindset, and user-experience focus.
- Experience coding with AI.
- Fluent English at upper-intermediate level or higher.
- Nice to have experience with Kubernetes, Docker, GitLab CI, AWS, Terraform, ETL, and Snowflake.
- Ability to teach, mentor, share knowledge, explain complex topics clearly, and provide constructive feedback.
