Responsibilities

  • Create software and firmware test plans covering requirements traceability and test coverage.
  • Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated software and firmware test suites at functional, integration, and system levels.
  • Manually test installation and deployment experiences for Qualcomm hardware and software in mobile, compute, and automotive environments.
  • Support quality engineering and release engineering processes, including continuous integration and continuous deployment.
  • Implement customer use cases, create workload analysis models and workloads, and collaborate on platform bring-up, debugging, and diagnostics.
  • Validate operating systems and customer usage environments while identifying power and performance improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years, master’s degree and 5+ years, or PhD and 4+ years of software engineering or related work experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience with a programming language such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
  • Preferred: 8+ years of software or firmware validation experience.
  • Preferred: at least 5 years of software test engineering focused on data center servers.
  • Strong experience with software and firmware test automation techniques.
  • Experience with Ubuntu Server, RHEL, SUSE, similar operating systems, or Windows Server.
  • Strong C and/or Python programming skills and experience developing automated test cases for server platforms.
  • Experience with BIOS/UEFI, BMC firmware, operating systems, and x86, ARM64, or RISC-V 64-bit server platforms is preferred.
