Responsibilities
- Participate in planning, grooming, coding, technical design sessions, and other phases of the Agile development process.
- Design, develop, and maintain Java/Spring applications, Angular front-end applications, RESTful services, cloud microservices, and SQL solutions.
- Manage loyalty-platform integration points including APIs, batch processing, queues, and client delivery environments.
- Serve as a subject-matter expert for a business domain and provide leadership and accountability for at least one technology stack.
- Create and maintain configuration, business-logic, and solution documentation.
- Develop products using test-driven development and testing frameworks such as JUnit.
- Collaborate with architects, product owners, team members, third parties, and architecture review boards to solve complex problems.
- Coach and mentor team members, conduct peer reviews, promote good coding practices, and suggest process improvements.
- Estimate task and project scope and provide support for the loyalty platform in client delivery environments.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience designing and developing applications and components with Java and Spring, preferably with JDK 17 or later, Spring Boot, and Spring Batch.
- At least 5 years of front-end web application development experience.
- At least 2 years of experience designing and developing applications with Angular, preferably version 7 or later.
- At least 3 years of experience developing RESTful services using JSON.
- Experience developing microservice cloud applications with Oracle, AWS, or Azure.
- At least 3 years of experience developing SQL multi-table queries, inserts, and updates, preferably with Oracle or PostgreSQL.
- Experience tuning SQL statements using execution explain plans.
- Familiarity with Agile practices such as Scrum.
- Experience with loyalty, accounting, or banking applications is preferred.
- Experience with message queues such as RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, or Kafka Streams is preferred.
- Experience building Docker containers and configuring Kubernetes clusters, including kubectl and Docker for Desktop, is preferred.
- Experience with build-management tools such as Bitbucket, Git, Gradle, and Bamboo is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
