Base Salary
$204k - $306k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect and manage JetBrains Central deployments in complex enterprise development environments, CI/CD systems, and internal developer platforms.
- Advise organizations on governed AI-native development, including security policies, access management, data privacy, observability, usage controls, and cost visibility.
- Integrate the cloud-based agent execution layer so AI agents run securely and at scale.
- Mentor and support other Forward Deployed Engineers and scale deployment practices.
- Create delivery frameworks, train JetBrains consulting partners, and shape the platform through customer feedback.
- Read, debug, and extend customer code in production environments.
- Travel domestically to customer sites, primarily within North America, up to 20% of the time.
Requirements
- 10+ years building or operating production software systems, including at least 3 years in a customer-facing technical role such as Solutions Architect, Forward Deployed Engineer, or Principal Consultant.
- Proficiency in Java or Python and the ability to work with customer code in production.
- Experience building or integrating developer platforms, infrastructure systems, or software solutions.
- Experience navigating enterprise procurement, security review, and architecture review processes.
- Familiarity with modern development workflows, developer environments, and internal developer platforms.
- Strong problem-solving skills, effective communication with engineers and technical leaders, and comfort working through ambiguous technical challenges.
- Willingness to mentor engineers and help establish a new technical discipline.
- Preferred: experience with LLM evaluation, prompt engineering at scale, or agent orchestration frameworks such as LangGraph, AutoGen, or CrewAI.
- Preferred: experience with SOC 2, FedRAMP, HIPAA, industry-specific solutions, solutions engineering, consulting, forward-deployed engineering, or the JetBrains ecosystem.
