Base Salary
$66k - $106k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, maintain, and execute automated unit, integration, and end-to-end test scripts.
- Execute non-automated tests and ensure test cases are completed within Agile sprint schedules.
- Support Test-Driven Development by writing test cases before code development in collaboration with software developers.
- Analyze application areas for test coverage gaps and automate legacy test cases to expand regression coverage.
- Maintain Requirements Traceability Matrices and document test activities, results, and defects.
- Prepare testing reports, release notes, and Software Version Descriptions.
- Triage, replicate, track, and report defects in JIRA, including customer-reported issues.
- Conduct Section 508 and WCAG 2.0 Level AA accessibility testing and assist with VPAT documentation.
- Support stress and load testing in the ProdSim environment, Disaster Recovery testing, and Independent Verification & Validation.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and maintain sprint-level defect, test completion, and burn-down metrics.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field with zero years of experience, or a high school diploma with four years of experience in software quality assurance, test automation, or software testing.
- Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.
- Foundational understanding of test automation and experience writing automated scripts in at least one framework or scripting language such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Python, or Java.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies, DevSecOps principles, software testing lifecycles, and Test-Driven Development.
- Basic experience with defect tracking tools, preferably JIRA.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, documentation skills, collaboration, and communication.
- Preferred qualifications include ISTQB Foundation Level certification, exposure to Fortify, Sonatype, or BURP, accessibility testing experience, CI/CD and DevSecOps test integration familiarity, Federal or DoD IT experience, Oracle or PL/SQL exposure, and ServiceNow familiarity.
