Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and support Java and React applications on AWS and internal cloud platforms.
- Create secure, scalable, resilient, and high-quality production software, including RESTful APIs and GraphQL services.
- Review, debug, troubleshoot, and optimize software written by the development team.
- Drive architectural decisions, technical roadmaps, automation of recurring issue remediation, and operational stability improvements.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and coaching to junior and mid-level engineers.
- Analyze and resolve complex technical issues and support monitoring, incident response, and root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with product managers, architects, and cross-functional teams to deliver business-aligned solutions.
- Participate in software engineering communities of practice and explore emerging technologies.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
- 8+ years of coding experience in Java, including Spring Boot and Microservices, plus 2+ years of React development with TypeScript and Redux.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Experience building RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL services.
- Knowledge of EAC, Terraform, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, application resiliency, and security practices.
- Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases including Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and DynamoDB.
- Proficiency in GenAI solutions and strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Preferred qualifications include AWS certifications, full-stack development, Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, OAuth 2.0, JWT, performance tuning, profiling, optimization, AI technologies, and financial or other regulated-industry experience.
