Responsibilities
- Partner with customers, product partners, and team members to understand workflows and translate needs into technical deliverables.
- Build applied AI capabilities for automation, document intelligence, decision support, fraud intelligence, and intelligent assistants.
- Implement context-aware AI components integrating prompts, tools, APIs, retrieval patterns, and business logic.
- Develop reusable engineering building blocks, services, and platform capabilities for multiple enterprise workflows.
- Assess opportunities to reuse existing agents, models, APIs, and platform capabilities and contribute to build-versus-reuse recommendations.
- Design, develop, test, document, debug, and maintain production software.
- Participate in code reviews, impact analysis, design documentation, sprint commitments, and Agile practices.
- Guide and assist less experienced software engineers.
- Participate in an on-call rotation and regularly overlap with U.S. business hours.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related field, or equivalent work experience.
- At least 2 years of software engineering experience or comparable depth of experience.
- Experience developing applications integrating AI services, enterprise APIs, data platforms, or workflow automation capabilities.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals, including system design, APIs, CI/CD, version control, and disciplined development workflows.
- Experience using one or more object-oriented programming languages and design patterns.
- High ownership, sound judgment, effective communication, and the ability to work in ambiguous problem spaces.
- Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation.
- Preferred qualifications include an advanced degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
- Preferred qualifications include production or production-like experience with generative AI, automation, intelligent assistants, or AI-enabled workflows.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with reliability, observability, evaluation, guardrails, API integration, or compliance for AI-enabled systems.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with modern developer tools and AI-assisted engineering practices.
