Base Salary
$102k - $219k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, maintain, and test clean, reliable, extensible software for Windows platform features and services.
- Use AI-assisted development tools responsibly, reviewing and validating generated changes for correctness and maintainability.
- Collaborate with engineering, product management, design, applied science, privacy, security, and SRE partners to translate customer scenarios and feedback into software.
- Build production-ready features with strong diagnosability, reliability, scalability, and operational quality.
- Investigate and resolve production issues using telemetry and diagnostics.
- Contribute to automation, tooling, documentation, and process improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field and 2+ years of technical engineering experience involving coding, or equivalent experience.
- Coding experience in one or more of C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
- Preferred: master’s degree in computer science or a related technical field.
- Preferred: additional technical engineering experience with the listed programming languages and the ability to collaborate across organizational teams.
