Responsibilities
- Own and independently deliver projects while collaborating with stakeholders and making decisions to ensure timely, successful delivery.
- Write clear technical design documents describing proposed approaches and implementation details.
- Build automated benchmarks for GCS client performance, run tests, analyze results, and implement changes to address performance bottlenecks.
- Participate in code reviews and help maintain high code-quality standards.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code for new features and performance improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Two years of experience with software development, or one year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting.
- Two years of experience developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems, or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture.
- Experience with C++, Go, or Java.
- Preferred: Master’s degree or PhD in computer science or a related technical field.
- Preferred: two years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- Preferred: experience developing accessible technologies.
- Preferred: experience building infrastructure components in a distributed environment.
- Preferred: understanding of cloud environments and storage technologies or systems.
