Responsibilities
- Build the next generation of the Asset Management product in the cloud.
- Develop highly scalable backend microservices that interact with the Qualys Cloud Platform.
- Research, evaluate, and adopt next-generation technologies.
- Produce high-quality software using sound architecture and design principles.
- Build reusable and optimized software libraries.
Requirements
- 6–10 years of experience in enterprise application backend development.
- Strong proficiency in Java/J2EE, including the Spring framework.
- Strong programming skills and experience building reusable, optimized libraries.
- Solid understanding of Kafka, Redis, NoSQL, RESTful APIs, HTTP, web servers, and related backend concepts.
- Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms.
- Familiarity with modern backend build pipelines and code versioning tools.
- Experience with SaaS products and service-oriented deployments in public or private clouds.
- Experience with Oracle RDBMS or NoSQL databases such as Cassandra is preferred.
- Experience developing search-based applications using Elasticsearch or OpenSearch is preferred.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent field.
