Responsibilities
- Build and ship the People platform MVP by December 2026 using React for the frontend and Go for the backend.
- Migrate key Workday modules into a custom internal application supporting compensation cycles, performance reviews, and HR workflows.
- Co-define the product vision and roadmap, conduct user discovery, challenge specifications, and prioritize features with People teams.
- Design secure and compliant systems handling sensitive People data, including GDPR, access controls, and data residency requirements.
- Use Cursor, Claude Code, Copilot, and similar AI tools in daily development and build AI-enabled features where they provide meaningful leverage.
- Document the work, run training sessions, and establish governance so the People team can maintain and evolve the platform.
Requirements
- Strong full-stack engineering experience with production applications delivered end-to-end, particularly with backend-focused work and sensitive data.
- Familiarity with React and Go, with demonstrated adaptability beyond a specific technology stack.
- Daily, delivery-focused use of AI tools for code generation, testing, and architecture support.
- Experience designing for GDPR, access control, data residency, security, and compliance.
- Product engineering experience that includes shaping what to build, user discovery, specification review, and iteration based on feedback.
- Ability to deliver complex and ambiguous projects autonomously with proactive communication and prioritization.
- Experience with HRIS or People tools such as Workday, ATS, or payroll systems, or with internal tooling for large organizations, is a bonus.
