Base Salary
$112k - $203k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and support cloud-native SaaS applications and services.
- Build scalable, resilient, and secure distributed systems using microservices architecture.
- Develop and operate services in public cloud environments including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
- Implement service automation, monitoring, observability, and telemetry pipelines.
- Analyze service health, performance metrics, logs, traces, and alerts to improve reliability and customer experience.
- Handle deployment, configuration, and operational readiness for production SaaS services.
- Review designs, implementations, test plans, and operational procedures.
- Troubleshoot production and customer issues across application, infrastructure, database, and networking layers.
- Collaborate with engineering, product management, security, SRE, DevOps, and customer-facing teams.
Requirements
- A master’s degree with zero years of work experience or a bachelor’s degree with two years of work experience, completed within the past three years or expected within the next 12 months, in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
- At least two years of software engineering experience in a SaaS product company.
- Experience developing or operating SaaS applications in a public cloud environment.
- Programming experience with one or more of Java, Python, or Go and experience designing and implementing backend services.
- At least two years of hands-on experience deploying and operating production microservices on Kubernetes or AWS EKS.
- Preferred experience includes TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, load balancing, network security, cloud security, identity and access control, RBAC, zero-trust security, and IoT security.
- Preferred experience includes generative AI, large language models, prompt engineering, AI-assisted development, and responsible AI use in software engineering.
- Preferred knowledge includes Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Kibana, OpenSearch, ClickHouse, Elasticsearch, and telemetry, monitoring, alerting, and service-health systems.
