Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate large-scale, highly available AWS AppSync components.
- Drive technical direction and architecture for significant areas of the service.
- Turn ambiguous, cross-team problems into clear designs and delivery plans.
- Improve operational excellence, security, and code quality through best practices and design and code reviews.
- Mentor engineers and increase team impact through technical leadership.
- Partner with engineering leaders to shape the roadmap and deliver global customer features.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 5 years of programming experience with at least one software programming language.
- At least 5 years of experience leading the design or architecture of new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or engineering team lead.
- Preferred: at least 5 years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
