Responsibilities

Build software for a large-scale data processing ecosystem supporting real-time and batch data pipelines for analytics, data science, and operations.
Maintain software engineering and architecture best practices, standards, quality, innovation, and experimentation across the team and organization.
Evolve and evangelize the platform and its best practices, identify new use cases and features, and drive adoption.
Partner with teams using the Data Lake platform to architect and develop successful solutions.

Experience deploying and running cloud-based applications, preferably on AWS.
Experience using infrastructure-as-code frameworks such as Terraform.
Experience with Python.
Ability to investigate technical components deeply while understanding overall systems architecture.
Strong software craftsmanship and ability to work backward from customer experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Either 5+ years of relevant professional experience with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or 3+ years with a master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Preferred knowledge of data engineering practices and tools such as Spark, Snowflake, and ETL concepts.
