Base Salary
$202k - $230k/yr
Responsibilities
- Modernize and iterate on Asana’s custom, home-built frameworks in alignment with modern industry standards.
- Use AI agents to accelerate migration from legacy systems to modern open-source frameworks.
- Partner with product engineering teams to identify opportunities to improve development speed and adopt best practices across Asana’s monorepo.
- Drive complex technical projects that may span multiple teams and make technical tradeoffs with cross-cutting impact.
- Support product engineering teams through office hours, presentations, mentoring, and teaching on frameworks.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to transition between different areas of a large codebase.
- Interest in using AI agents to migrate legacy systems to open-source best practices.
- Comfort with agentic development workflows and tools such as Claude Code and Cursor.
- Experience driving complex technical projects across multiple teams and seeking input when needed.
- Ability to articulate technical tradeoffs for decisions with cross-cutting impact.
- Familiarity with full-stack development, including technologies such as TypeScript, React, and GraphQL.
- Collaborative approach to accelerating development cycles and sharing software best practices.
