Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end systems deliveries that scale the firm across business lines.
- Build core services for reference data, trade management, position management, and compliance.
- Integrate core services with external middle-office and fund-administration parties.
- Build common libraries and software infrastructure supporting investment-process systems.
- Contribute to the software development toolkit, including source code control, CI/CD, test infrastructure, packaging, and deployment.
- Review and test code and systems according to the software development process.
- Support production systems and collaborate with Portfolio Management, Operations, Compliance, Systems, Quantitative, and Platform Infrastructure teams.
Requirements
- Ability to write high-quality Python code.
- C++ and/or Rust coding experience, or interest in coding in Rust, is highly desirable.
- Understanding of the importance of testing and ownership of written code.
- Strong communication, stakeholder-management, business-analysis, problem-solving, and solution-presentation skills.
- Ability and eagerness to learn new technologies and develop expertise in fixed income.
- Server-side development experience, SQL database experience, API design experience, Rust experience, and Kubernetes experience are beneficial but not essential.
- Knowledge of fixed income products, trade lifecycles, third-party system integration, and operational processes is valued but not essential.
