Base Salary
$163k - $272k/yr
Responsibilities
- Set platform architectural direction, long-term vision, and guiding principles.
- Participate in planning, definition, and high-level design of software solutions.
- Work with multiple Release Trains to identify dependencies and define integration strategies.
- Guide engineers and technical architects in clarifying requirements, allocating subsystem responsibilities, defining interfaces, and establishing delivery automation and testing strategies.
- Identify and prioritize architectural runway needed for upcoming business features and capabilities.
- Frame technical and architectural alternatives in business terms, including their business and technical implications.
- Evaluate the economic impact of design decisions within the retail platform’s financial framework.
- Champion architectural solutions and advocate for them across the organization.
- Establish critical platform-level non-functional requirements.
- Promote strategic development and reuse of shared capabilities across Cox Automotive.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 10 years of related experience, or a master’s degree and 8 years, a Ph.D. and 5 years, or 14 years of related experience.
- Experience with cloud-native architectures and delivering software and services using cloud infrastructure such as AWS.
- At least 8 years of full software development life cycle experience and significant experience delivering mission-critical production applications and services.
- Experience building software using API-first approaches, serverless technologies, containers, and distributed architectures.
- Strong software engineering foundation and familiarity with OIDC, SAML, SCIM, SQL, NoSQL, Node.js, Python, Java, React, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Experience building, integrating, and testing complex software products composed of multiple workloads and teams.
- Exemplary consulting skills and a track record as a practicing architect.
- At least 4 years of experience as a solution or technical architect.
- Outstanding verbal, written, presentation, facilitation, and interaction skills, with the ability to communicate architectural concepts across organizational levels.
- Ability to work effectively with teams throughout the organization.
