Base Salary
$120k - $261k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and operate a massively scalable cloud service for Azure Usage Billing.
- Develop and validate components for a robust, distributed, and resilient usage-billing platform.
- Help design platform components and work on service management, programmability, and usage pipelines.
- Support monitoring, security, performance, engineering systems, tooling, and live-site operations.
- Collaborate across teams and embody Microsoft’s culture and values.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 4+ years of technical engineering experience, or equivalent experience.
- Coding experience in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Ability to meet Microsoft Cloud background-check and other applicable security-screening requirements.
- Preferred: master’s degree with 6+ years of experience, or bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of experience, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred: 4+ years of experience with C# and the .NET Framework ecosystem.
- Preferred: recent C++ development experience.
- Preferred: experience with data-plane infrastructure, SDK creation, complex distributed systems, and cloud development principles and patterns.
- Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and adaptability skills.
Benefits
- The typical U.S. base pay range is USD $119,800–$234,700 per year; the San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metropolitan area range is USD $160,200–$261,000 per year.
- Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
