Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java, J2EE, and Spring Boot.
- Develop and maintain microservices-based applications and backend APIs.
- Implement event-driven services and messaging solutions using Apache Kafka.
- Deploy, configure, and support containerized applications with Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
- Develop and optimize Oracle database queries, stored procedures, and data access components.
- Troubleshoot application issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, unit testing, integration testing, and production support.
- Support application deployment and maintenance in Unix/Linux-based environments.
- Collaborate with architects, business analysts, QA engineers, DevOps teams, and other stakeholders.
- Contribute to improvements in development processes, application performance, and system reliability.
Requirements
- 6–9 years of hands-on experience in backend application development.
- Strong proficiency in Java and J2EE.
- Extensive experience with Spring Boot and microservices architecture.
- Hands-on experience designing and developing backend APIs.
- Experience with Apache Kafka and event-driven architecture.
- Practical knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
- Strong experience with Oracle databases and relational database concepts.
- Experience with HPUX, Linux, and Solaris operating systems.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage technical deliverables, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Preferred experience includes digital or retail banking applications and enterprise-scale transaction-processing systems.
- Preferred knowledge includes DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, Apache Camel, CXF web services, Spring Batch, JSP, Unix shell scripting, WebLogic, SQL optimization, and JavaScript integration.
