Responsibilities
- Lead technical pre-sales activities for large and strategic fleet opportunities, including discovery sessions, technical demonstrations, pilots, and proof-of-concepts.
- Assess prospect business challenges and define viable Geotab solutions that address customer needs.
- Develop segment-specific expertise, playbooks, knowledge bases, training sessions, and standardized demonstration and implementation methods.
- Collaborate with Business Development, sales, product, channel teams, partners, third-party integrators, and customers to support growth and successful solution delivery.
- Lead strategic projects and ensure smooth transition from prospect acquisition to customer service and solution delivery.
- Provide customer and market feedback to Product Management teams to improve Geotab offerings.
- Document and report prospective opportunities and projects using JIRA and Salesforce.
- Mentor and support Solutions Engineers and other team members while sharing technical expertise and best practices.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of experience in a relevant technical field such as Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, Engineering Support, Software Development, Automotive Engineering, Data Science, Technical Account Management, or Business Development.
- Business acumen and the ability to drive revenue growth through prospect and pre-sales engagements.
- Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, communication, presentation, time-management, and organizational skills.
- Ability to explain complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences and collaborate across sales, product development, customer support, and partner teams.
- Experience with sales or business development and the ability to identify and pursue opportunities.
- A proven record of successful customer engagements, project management, and team collaboration.
- Experience mentoring, guiding, and leading team members and maintaining subject-matter expertise.
- Ability to create and lead training sessions for audiences with varied technical backgrounds.
