Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable Python backend services using FastAPI and Backend-for-Frontend patterns.
- Build RESTful APIs, microservices, enterprise integrations, workflows, and cloud functions with attention to performance, security, and reliability.
- Design and implement AI agents and MCPs using LangGraph and modern LLM tooling.
- Deploy and operate services on GCP using Cloud Run, GKE, Cloud Functions, and Cloud SQL.
- Contribute to CI/CD, containerization, DevOps practices, testing, code reviews, documentation, and production readiness.
- Collaborate with engineers, analysts, QA, and business teams to deliver secure, high-quality enterprise solutions.
- Mentor and guide team members through reviews and technical discussions.
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience with a strong backend focus.
- Strong hands-on expertise in Python and production-grade backend services and APIs.
- Experience designing RESTful APIs and microservices, preferably with FastAPI or similar frameworks.
- Understanding of backend architecture patterns, including Backend-for-Frontend and service-oriented design.
- Experience with authentication and authorization mechanisms such as OAuth2, JWT, and SSO.
- Strong knowledge of relational database design and SQL, including PostgreSQL or equivalent.
- Experience building and deploying applications in a cloud environment such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.
- Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD practices, automated deployments, Git-based workflows, and code reviews.
- Preferred experience with GCP services, LangGraph, MCPs, LLM tooling, Kafka, Pub/Sub, RabbitMQ, Service Bus, Terraform, NoSQL databases, cloud data lakes, GraphQL, Copilot, and Claude Code.
- Strong ownership, communication, collaboration, problem-solving, analytical, mentoring, and continuous-learning skills.
