Base Salary
$102k - $202k/yr
Responsibilities
- Determine user requirements and contribute to feature design documents with limited oversight.
- Design and implement code for Azure Storage products, services, and features.
- Break down larger work items, estimate work, and identify dependencies.
- Serve as an on-call Designated Responsible Individual monitoring for degradation, downtime, and interruptions and restoring services for simple problems.
- Improve product availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance while driving consistent monitoring and operations at scale.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field and 2+ years of technical engineering experience coding in C, C++, or Java, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to meet Microsoft Cloud Background Check and applicable customer or government security screening requirements.
- Preferred: master’s degree with 1+ years of relevant experience, or bachelor’s degree with 1+ years of relevant experience.
- Preferred: at least 1 year of software engineering practice, coding, data structures, algorithms, debugging, problem solving, and analytical skills.
- Preferred: at least 1 year of experience in datapath, kernel mode, storage, file systems, distributed systems, operating systems, networking, or applications at scale.
- Experience building and operating services at scale is preferred.
