Responsibilities
- Lead technical discovery for strategic opportunities and translate business goals into technical success criteria and evaluation plans.
- Design, scope, and execute customer POCs with defined datasets, metrics, and timelines.
- Build lightweight prototypes, sample integrations, and demonstrations using Deepgram SDKs and APIs.
- Advise customers on architecture for accuracy, latency, scalability, cost, cloud, self-hosted, hybrid, and data-residency requirements.
- Manage security and compliance discussions involving GDPR, ISO 27001, SOC 2, and vendor-risk reviews.
- Triage and debug evaluation issues while coordinating with Product, Engineering, and Support.
- Create reusable samples, reference architectures, runbooks, and field guides from recurring customer needs.
- Partner with Solutions Architects, Support, Account Executives, Customer Success Managers, and partners through customer expansion.
- Progress from low-risk support tickets during the initial ramp to owning strategic evaluations and complex technical wins.
- Lead customer architecture workshops, technical deal reviews, live demos, and pre-sales enablement across EMEA.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in Solutions Engineering or a similar customer-facing technical pre-sales role.
- Professional software engineering experience in at least one of JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or Rust.
- Hands-on experience with modern cloud platforms, Docker, Kubernetes, networking fundamentals, and secure API design.
- Demonstrated success leading enterprise-customer POCs and earning technical wins.
- Clear written and verbal communication with both technical and executive audiences.
- Preferred experience with speech recognition, text-to-speech, voice quality analysis, or AI agents orchestrating LLMs.
- Preferred familiarity with SIP, WebRTC, streaming, and WebSocket integrations.
- Preferred experience with self-hosted and hybrid deployments, Helm-based installations, and production observability.
- Preferred understanding of authentication, authorization, data residency, GDPR, and EMEA enterprise security reviews.
- Additional European language fluency, including German, French, Dutch, Italian, or Spanish, is preferred.
- Candidates must be based in an eligible EMEA country and have strong English communication skills.
