Responsibilities
- Architect and deliver solution demonstrations and presentations highlighting Planet’s technical capabilities and customer value
- Build trusted-advisor relationships with customers’ technical and management staff
- Recommend solution architectures that address customer business challenges
- Craft technical responses to tenders, RFIs, RFPs, and unsolicited proposals
- Partner with sales colleagues to develop and execute technical account strategies
- Collaborate with Customer Success, Product Management, and Business Development on customer needs and RFP/RFI submissions
- Meet quarterly and annual sales and operational objectives
- Communicate forecasts, pipeline opportunities, deal reviews, CRM data, and customer feedback to Sales leadership
- Present to key South Korean government executive stakeholders
- Mentor team members and lead training to support their development
Requirements
- At least 6 years of technical experience supporting, working with, or within the South Korean defense and intelligence community
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- Ability to travel, including internationally, up to 50%
- Professional working proficiency in English
- Experience working with GIS and remote sensing users within the defense industry
- Experience with QGIS, SocetGXP, ArcGIS, GDAL, Python, other common geospatial software packages and programming languages, and emerging technologies such as AI/ML
- Experience designing and presenting complex systems and solutions that connect business problems with technology while meeting organizational, budget, and scalability needs
- Ability to communicate and coordinate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to process imagery, manipulate geospatial data, interact with APIs, and build data pipelines
- Ability to lead technical customer engagements and run workshops or training sessions
- Ability to obtain and maintain eligibility for a South Korean security clearance
- Mandarin speaking ability is preferred
