Responsibilities
- Design and develop large-scale single- and multi-tenant Java identity management products
- Develop APIs, identity protocols, authentication systems, security mitigations, provisioning capabilities, and performance optimizations
- Analyze requirements with product management and architects to improve the identity platform and develop PingIDM features
- Plan, estimate, and independently manage development tasks
- Enable successful cloud deployments
- Collaborate with distributed team members across the Portland metro area, Canada, and Europe
- Work with customer-facing support teams to resolve customer issues
Requirements
- Wide experience designing and developing large-scale applications in Java
- Strong understanding of HTTP and RESTful web services
- Familiarity with cloud architectures and deployment strategies such as AWS, GCP, and Azure
- Experience using AI agents such as Claude Code to plan, validate, and implement functionality
- Strong communication, problem-solving, independent learning, and information-gathering abilities
- Advantageous: experience with identity management technologies and protocols such as OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect
- Advantageous: experience with certificate and key management and cryptography
- Advantageous: understanding of enterprise-scale security systems and configurations
- Advantageous: experience building performant systems that deploy and execute at scale
