Base Salary

$110k - $137k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop large-scale single- and multi-tenant Java identity management products
  • Develop APIs, identity protocols, authentication systems, security mitigations, provisioning capabilities, and performance optimizations
  • Analyze requirements with product management and architects to improve the identity platform and develop PingIDM features
  • Plan, estimate, and independently manage development tasks
  • Enable successful cloud deployments
  • Collaborate with distributed team members across the Portland metro area, Canada, and Europe
  • Work with customer-facing support teams to resolve customer issues

Requirements

  • Wide experience designing and developing large-scale applications in Java
  • Strong understanding of HTTP and RESTful web services
  • Familiarity with cloud architectures and deployment strategies such as AWS, GCP, and Azure
  • Experience using AI agents such as Claude Code to plan, validate, and implement functionality
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, independent learning, and information-gathering abilities
  • Advantageous: experience with identity management technologies and protocols such as OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect
  • Advantageous: experience with certificate and key management and cryptography
  • Advantageous: understanding of enterprise-scale security systems and configurations
  • Advantageous: experience building performant systems that deploy and execute at scale
