Base Salary
$120k - $261k/yr
Responsibilities
- Determine user requirements with stakeholders and develop design documents for product features with limited oversight.
- Design, implement, and reuse code for Azure Storage products, services, and features.
- Break down larger work items, provide estimates, and identify dependencies.
- Serve as an on-call Designated Responsible Individual to monitor services and address degradation, downtime, or interruptions.
- Improve product availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, performance, monitoring, and operations at scale.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 4+ years of technical engineering experience coding in C, C++, or Java, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to meet Microsoft Cloud Background Check and other applicable security screening requirements.
- Preferred: master's degree with 6+ years of experience, or bachelor's degree with 8+ years of experience, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred: 3+ years of software engineering experience with data structures, algorithms, problem solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
- Preferred: 3+ years of experience in storage data path, file systems, networking software, DPUs, or kernel/systems programming.
- Preferred: experience building and operating services at scale.
