Senior Software Engineer
SS&C TechnologiesResponsibilities
- Develop and maintain software using Progress 4GL and related OpenEdge technologies.
- Provide second- and third-level technical support to an international financial-industry client base.
- Use source control systems and adhere to development standards and best practices.
- Work with IT service management processes including incident management, SLA tracking, and release management.
- Explore AI-assisted development and automation concepts to improve engineering efficiency and workflows.
Requirements
- Require 5–9 years of hands-on experience with Progress 4GL and related technologies such as AppServer, WebSpeed, and PAS for OpenEdge.
- Require exposure to Git and IT service management platforms such as ServiceNow.
- Require understanding of incident management, SLA tracking, and release management.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development and automation concepts is expected.
- Visual Studio Code experience is a plus.
- ITSM certification is a plus.
