Responsibilities
- Provision and configure OCI Compute, Storage, VCN, Load Balancer, DBCS, and Autonomous Database resources.
- Manage OCI networking components including VCNs, subnets, NSGs, route tables, gateways, VPNs, FastConnect, and DNS.
- Develop and maintain Terraform and OCI Resource Manager Infrastructure-as-Code modules.
- Automate operational tasks using Python, Bash, Ansible, and cloud-native tools.
- Support CI/CD deployments using OCI DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, and Azure DevOps.
- Monitor cloud environments with OCI Monitoring, Logging, APM, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog, and Dynatrace.
- Perform patching, backups, certificate renewals, capacity checks, incident resolution, and production operations.
- Implement cloud security controls involving IAM, MFA, Vault/KMS, encryption, Bastion, Cloud Guard, Security Zones, and vulnerability scanning.
- Support migration and modernization initiatives to OCI and assist application teams deploying workloads on OKE, WebLogic, Oracle Database, Functions, and API Gateway.
- Contribute to cost optimization, automation, operational documentation, incident management, and change management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3–6 years of hands-on cloud or platform engineering experience, including a minimum of 2 years of OCI experience or strong cloud experience with demonstrable OCI exposure.
- Hands-on experience with OCI services, Terraform, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, cloud security, monitoring, and platform operations.
- Experience supporting production environments, incident management, and change management.
- At least one OCI Associate certification, such as OCI Foundations Associate, OCI Architect Associate, or OCI Operations Associate.
- Working knowledge of at least one secondary cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, communication, stakeholder management, cross-functional collaboration, ownership, and service-oriented skills.
- Preferred qualifications include OCI Architect Professional, AWS SAA, Azure AZ-104, GCP ACE, Terraform Associate, CKA, RHCSA, or Oracle Linux certification.
