Base Salary
$144k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop production-quality software across frontend interfaces, backend services, data infrastructure, and AI/ML layers.
- Build intelligent systems that ingest satellite, ground gateway, and customer terminal telemetry for real-time anomaly detection, failure prediction, and corrective-action recommendations.
- Develop data infrastructure and analysis solutions spanning satellite hardware, flight software, ground gateway systems, customer terminals, and backend services.
- Build autonomous agents that trace root causes across satellite, ground station, and on-premises systems and coordinate with human operators.
- Design natural-language systems that combine real-time telemetry, historical data, documentation, and knowledge bases.
- Implement dense- and sparse-retrieval systems for semantic search across satellite test and in-orbit data.
- Implement components of a scalable S3-based data lake with metadata management, data classification, and lineage tracking.
- Build low-latency data visualization tools for monitoring and investigating satellite behavior across high-cardinality datasets.
Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 2+ years of experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
- 1+ years of experience developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
- 1+ years of object-oriented design experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: 3+ years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Preferred: experience in machine learning, data mining, information retrieval, statistics, or natural language processing.
- Candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, refugee, or asylee due to export control requirements.
