Responsibilities
- Design, implement, optimize, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitLab for data applications, DBT Cloud jobs, and infrastructure changes.
- Build multi-environment deployment orchestration with approval gates, rollback mechanisms, artifact management, GitOps practices, and audit trails.
- Design and manage Snowflake, AWS, and Azure infrastructure using Terraform, including state management, governance, tagging, and multi-cloud portability.
- Deploy and manage Ansible playbooks and Puppet modules/manifests for configuration management, patching, compliance, provisioning, OS hardening, and infrastructure orchestration.
- Automate scaling, failover, disaster recovery, high availability, monitoring, alerting, logging, and infrastructure operations.
- Develop Python automation, tooling, and integrations between CI/CD systems, cloud platforms, and Snowflake.
- Integrate Splunk, Dynatrace, CloudWatch, and Azure Monitor and create dashboards and metrics for infrastructure and deployment performance.
- Lead a team of Data Engineering associates and collaborate with global technology, business, and IT stakeholders.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience developing CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps Pipelines or GitLab CI/CD.
- Production-grade Terraform experience with AWS and Azure providers.
- Ability to write Ansible playbooks and/or Puppet manifests and manage infrastructure state.
- Experience with AWS and Azure cloud platforms and their infrastructure, storage, database, networking, identity, and data services.
- Python scripting, automation, API integration, and tooling-development experience.
- Operational knowledge of Snowflake warehouse management, cost optimization, and cloud integration.
- Experience with Git, GitLab, or GitHub, including version control, branching strategies, and repository management.
- Linux/Unix system administration and command-line proficiency.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals including VPCs, subnets, security groups, DNS, and load balancing.
- Strong systems thinking, automation orientation, communication, collaboration, and attention to detail.
- Financial-industry experience is a plus.
