Responsibilities
- Develop firmware on the DSP platform for large power systems.
- Write and execute test cases for firmware development.
- Work with project management to track project progress, tasks, and milestones.
- Attend project meetings, provide feedback, and capture design updates.
- Work independently with test engineers to validate developed firmware modules.
- Conduct grooming meetings and refine planned work items.
- Follow structured design and investigation procedures while adding electrical features and analyzing critical product issues.
- Become a subject matter expert for UPS controls and monitoring.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering.
- 5–10 years of experience in firmware development or a related engineering area.
- Proficiency in bare-metal C firmware development.
- Knowledge of power electronic converter and inverter operation, control strategies, and firmware implementation.
- Knowledge of CAN, I2C, and SPI communication protocols.
- Knowledge of ADC converter firmware implementation.
- Knowledge of structured problem-solving and investigation processes for issue analysis.
- Knowledge of battery-based systems and their integration with power converters.
- Ability to create design documents for global teams.
- Hands-on experience with RTOS concepts is desirable.
- Experience with RT-LAB development tools is an advantage.
- Ability to build cross-functional relationships, translate stakeholder needs into solutions, set priorities, and address challenges.
