Base Salary
$146k - $343k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build relationships with partner technical and sales teams and serve as their primary HPE storage resource.
- Enable partner engineers through workshops, whiteboarding, demonstrations, hands-on labs, certifications, and partner program support.
- Assess partner and customer requirements and architect storage and data protection solutions, including alternatives and potential gaps.
- Deliver technical presentations, demonstrations, proofs of concept, and customer-facing briefings.
- Develop competitive strategies and support storage opportunity generation, qualification, pipeline progression, upgrades, and refreshes.
- Coordinate solution handoff from sales to implementation and identify partner and internal training needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of technical presales experience with a major storage vendor or storage-focused channel partner.
- Deep hands-on experience pitching, demonstrating, and architecting complex storage solutions.
- Knowledge of virtualization, including VMware or KVM-based environments, and at least two application stacks such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or SAP.
- Working knowledge of at least one major public cloud, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud; certifications are preferred.
- Expertise across block, file, backup, ransomware protection, and related data lifecycle solutions.
- Deep competitive knowledge of at least one major storage vendor and strong knowledge of channel partner business models.
- Strong consultative selling, presentation, communication, project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Expertise in a major vertical such as financial services, manufacturing, or healthcare is preferred.
- Storage-related industry certifications are strongly preferred.
